Day 65 - Turkish Delight

Day 65 - Hapers Ferry National Historic Park, West Virginia (Battlefield in Virginia thanks, Dayna Buhanan)

Oh my gosh we spent $47 and change (per Hank) on four bags of historic candy. Super cool store they had candy from the 1700 and 1800s. We were told about Turkish Delight and how it was first used as throat remedy and then latter the Jelly Bean. Back then a Jelly Bean was a man who dressed well but was considered a loser.

This is what was posted and men joined and gave there lives for us

Day 61 - Indian or Cowboy...thats the real question?

Day 61 - Susquehanna, New York and Williamsport, Pennsylvania

We had to stop...Hank and his family always stopped by this place on trips, so we had to keep up the tradition

Day 57- Finishing up our third leg. Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan.

We now have land marks we recognize all over the U.S. with all the loops we've made.

The restaurant was called the Machine Shed Restaurant, they recognized local farmers. Amazingly Great!

Puffy and Flaky

We picked up three Guiney pigs on our route. This cage took us 30min. to put together. So instead of cussing, we were laughing at how awful it was manufactured.

When Hank whistled they squealed. It was pretty cute. My favorite were the hairless two. I called them little dillo and big dillo since they looked like miniature armadillos without their shell.
